More about Omaya - sibu

Dakgalbi, also known as ChunCheon Spicy Stir-fried chicken. Dakgalbi is a popular and traditional Korean dish. It is a local specialty food for the city of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, where dak galbi originates. Because of its origin, the dish is also called Chuncheon Dakgalbi.

Dakgalbi is prepared by marinating chopped chicken in spicy red pepper paste with peppery seasoning for about one day. Cabbage, green onions, sweet potatoes, and cylinder shaped rice cakes are then added and the ingredients are all placed in a large cast iron pan. The mixture is then typically stir-fried at the table. These days many people prefer the boneless option. Dakgalbi can be enjoyed on its own or wrapped in lettuce leaves for a fresh, crunchy taste. After most of the Dakgalbi has been eaten, rice is then stir-fried with the remaining sauce in the pan.

Omaya customer could choose spicy or mild-spicy flavour according to their preference. Omaya Dakgalbi is prepared using marinated fresh boneless chicken drumstick meat added with twelve different vegetables, artfully arranged and stir-fried in a flat iron pan with a special made sauce. For those customer who like cheese, Dakgalbi will top with a layer of cheese flakes and once the cheese is melt, a delicious Dakgalbi is ready to be served. You could eat it on its own or wrapped with lettuce and served as wraps.
